Bridgeport, CA | The VanDyke Fire formerly known as the Point Ranch Fire burning South of Bridgeport, East of Hwy 395 and North of Point Ranch.
Fire Officials have released information stating the fire has reached 450 scorched acres but with a 75% containment status.
Firefighters have been able to fight the fire under favorable conditions from measurable rainfall. If this continues, Fire Managers predict this event will be completely contained by Sunday evening.
Power, cell phone and landlines are still currently down. The SCE Power substation sustained damage from wind and fire yesterday. Crews are currently working to restore power and are hopeful they’ll be able to restore services by 1100 hours on Sunday morning.
The fire has destroyed 40 residences and outbuildings and burned ten miles of timber.
