Fire Family Loses a Local Hero In Action

Blewett Pass, Washington | At around 1545 hours PST on January 23rd, fire sources from Chelan County Fire District #6, Cascade Medical Center and Deputies from the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office responded to an incident off of Blewett Pass in Washington State.

Kimiko Nalle, 46, was found buried in snow that had fallen from home’s roof.  EMS personnel attempted to revive her.  Nalle was a 26-year employee with the US Forest Service working her way up to IC on a local IMT (Incident Management Team) and as a volunteer Firefighter with Chelan County Fire District 6, for 17 years.

She is survived by her husband,  Chelan County Fire District 3 Deputy Chief/Fire Marshal Dave Nalle and formerly with the USFS (now retired).

There are no services or memorials scheduled yet.
