Located 15 miles NW of Lakeview, Oregon.

Ignited on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, around 1345 hours PT.

Undetermined cause.

Fire fuels include: timber, brush and medium slash.


Minimal fire behavior with smoldering.

91,795 acres.

85% contained. Expectations to contain by October 5, 2021.


10 structures lost.

$23.7 Million Cost-to-Date for fire suppression and containment efforts.


USFS, Fremont-Winema National Forest

IMT2, NW Team 12 – ICP located at the Lakeview Fairgrounds. Closed to public. Open only to essential personnel. ICs are Jeff Dimke and Bobby Shindelar.

Lake County Sheriff’s Office – local law enforcement.

Lake County Office of Emergency Management – broadcasts emergency alerts to local impacted communities during fire and disaster events.
