You come home from a busy day and the last thing you want is to argue with a salesperson trying to sell you something on the phone and on your own time. Don’t get me wrong. They are people just like you and me and in the business of making a living, but sometimes the calls come in so frequently, who has the time and the frustration?
A recent Alert by the “National Do Not Call Registry” warns about scammers have been targeting people saying they are calling to register people for this site. This is a SCAM and being warned by this correct site that they do not call people. If you get a call like this, this is not coming from the National Do Not Call List or the Federal Trade Commission.
You can call anytime to register your home or cell phone numbers at 888-382-1222 or online at https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx. You can enter up to three phone numbers.
Once the Telemarketers have been notified certain numbers have been registered have 31 days not to call your number. If they do, you can file a complaint through the Do Not Call Registry weblink listed above.
