SAGINAW, MI — Two fires that started within 20 minutes at vacant houses in Saginaw on Monday night are “suspicious,” according to Battalion Chief Steve Filary. Fire crews were first dispatched to 1703 Williamson at 10:59 p.m., Filary said. When they arrived the home was fully engulfed in flames. (Source: IAFF Local 102)

The 2012 IAFF Fallen Fire Fighter Memorial Service was held on the 15th of September in Colorado Springs. Members Brian Kadle, Angel Alvarado, Matt Propp and Derek Spurlock attended representing the IAFF Local 244, honoring those Firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice and gave their lives in the line of duty. Fluffy is one lucky kitty. The longhaired cat was saved in a house fire on the 5400 block of Steadman in Dearborn on Sunday evening by members of the Dearborn Fire Department, who carried the feline resident out of the home.
