Update 1 – Wednesday, June 7, 2023

PIDGEON CREEK FIRE

The Pidgeon Creek Fire is also known and Incident # K50624.

It was discovered on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at 1906 PDT.

It is located about 6.5 km west of Peachland in B.C., Canada.

Since June 5th, fire growth has been observed but behavior has since been reduced to minimal activity.

It is currently 33 ha in size.

There are currently two BCWS crews along with two contractors, a total of 60 personnel, and aircraft (copters and skimmer air tankers) as needed.

Significant Events:

On yesterday’s mission, six skimmers dropped a total of 425,000 gallons (approx. 1.6 million liters) on the Pigeon Creek wildfire.”
