The human-caused wildfire ignited last Saturday, July 1, 2023, around 118 hours MDT approximately 20 miles east of Wikiup in the MOhon Mountains in northwestern Yavapai County, Arizona.
Today, the fire has consumed about 32,028 acres of grass and Pinyon-Juniper fuels and continues to be an out-of-control fire with a sustained 0% containment status.
Fire management under the leadership of Darrell Willis, a Type 3 IC with the AZ Department of Forestry and Fire Management. There are about 122 total personnel from various agencies.

- Department of Forestry and Fire Management (DFFM) hand crews
- DFFM Phoenix Crew (Type 2 IA)
- Large Air Tanker (LAT)
