A wildfire named the GOLDEN FIRE has had its name changed by the ODF to GOLDEN EAGLE FIRE is burning on Bly Mountain and near Bryant Mountain and is still burning in the State of Oregon, where evacuations and a massive amount of resources have disrupted the area.

The wildfire was reported on Saturday at 1302 hours and immediately spread to an area with heavy fire fuels. It continues to burn into the night had earlier prompted evacuations.

“Oregon Governor Tina Kotek invoked the Emergency Conflagration Act for the Golden Fire to allow OSFM to mobilize resources to protect life and property. The OSFM is mobilizing additional task forces and an incident management team to Klamath County as firefighters continue to battle the fire Saturday evening. The task forces are being mobilized from Yamhill and Clatsop Counties. Earlier Saturday, OSFM mobilized two task forces through immediate response to help bolster the response to the Golden Fire.” – OR State Fire Marshal
