There were a lot of U.S.-based products recalled on November 9, 2023, according to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission more commonly known as the CPSC for short.

TEXTRON SPECIALIZED VEHICLES

About 1,660 E-Z-GO PTV and Tracker OX EV Vehicles were recalled due to a crash hazard in the United States, approximately 60 in our neighboring friends located in Canada, and about 20 in Mexico). The recall is due to the internal motor wiring which can become damaged over time and under certain conditions, can cause the vehicle to move unintentionally. This movement is considered to pose a crash hazard.

Consumers are being told to immediately stop using both types of vehicles and contact their dealership or Textron Specialized Vehicle for a free repair. The manufacturer is said to be contacting all purchasers directly.

IKEA MIRRORS

IKEA is voluntarily recalling mirrors due to the plastic fittings that attach the mirror to the wall can break, causing a laceration hazard from the mirror falling and breaking. Consumers are being told to stop using the recalled mirrors and contact IKEA to order a free set of replacement wall fittings and instructions. Additionally, customers can return the product to any IKEA store for a full refund. Proof of purchase (receipt) is not required to receive a full refund.

About 14,600 in the U.S. including about 10,500 were sold in Canada are under this recall. This is an extended recall as there was a previous recall of 22,400 mirrors earlier in March of 2023.

TWIN-STAR INTERNATIONAL ELECTRIC FIREPLACES

Twin-Star International has a recall for about 14,670 Infrared Quartz Electric Fireplaces due to being a fire hazard. These fireplaces were exclusively sold through Lowe’s stores. They are said to overheat and pose a fire hazard. Consumers are being forewarned about immediately stopping the usage of these products contacting Twin-STar for a full refund of the purchase price and completing the online recall registration form.
