KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON — Firefighters with Cle Elum Volunteer Firefighters Association along with the Kittitas County Sheriff and EMS with Upper Kittitas County Medic One, were dispatched to an eight-car pileup with entrapment at milepost 88.5 on Interstate 90.

This occurred over the weekend.

Winter whiteout conditions made roadways slippery with poor visibility, causing vehicles to come to a grinding halt and snarling traffic for hours.

When all was said and done, there were a total of eight vehicles colliding with one another.

The crash was being investigated by the Sheriff’s Office.
