Boyles Fire

September 6, 2024, 2200 hours PT

STEVENS COUNTY, WASHINGTON

A wildfire is burning on Boyles Road just north of Springdale on Hwy 231 in Stevens County, Washington where fire personnel and equipment were dispatched today at 1420 hours PT.

This is for Incident #WANES-1969.

Currently, the fire is under control with less than one acre (0.2) burned at 1530 hours this afternoon.

The incident cooperators included Stevens County Fire Districts 1, 4, Chewelah Fire, and WA DNR.

The cause is unknown at the time of this update.

A report by someone on Social Media states a motorist stopped at the fire scene when the fire first started to help try to stop the fire on the roadway.
