FLOOD FIRE

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 13, 2024, 1830 HOURS PT
Firefighters from various Arizona local and State fire agencies were busy fighting the FLOOD FIRE over the last few days have been able to reduce the fire behavior to enable them to transfer command back to the local unit, Golder Ranch Fire. This was according to Fire Officials at 0730 hours update on Sunday, October 13, 2024.
The fire started on October 9th, about three (3) miles northwest of Oracle Junction in Pinal County, Arizona.
The fire prompted evacuations for those near S. Palo Verde Ranch and E. Chief Butte Roads and residents of the Panther Butte community on October 10th.
The fire this morning was listed at 4,400 acres, with crews working on continuing with improving and monitoring the line and checking any possible hot spots.
Fire Command states there has been no observed fire growth within the last few days.
