It doesn’t matter if you are a Firefighter, EMT, Medic, Police Officer or in any other profession, heart disease can affect any one of us. The fact remains that it affects women over 20 years old, one in three deaths each year. That is way too many.
The oldest Dallas-based organization, The American Heart Association (heart.org or 1-800-AHA-USA1) teams up with millions of volunteers and is devoted to helping saving people’s lives from Heart Disease and Strokes, no. 1 and no. 3 killers. Their mission is simple: help fund innovative research, fight for stronger public health policies and to provide life saving tools and information to prevent and treat these two main diseases.
