At approximately 1312 hours this afternoon on March 21, 2012, the first 9-1-1 call was received in NORCOM Dispatch from a passerby in the 1700 block of NE 148th in Shoreline, Washington. The reporting party reported flames from the rooftop of the single-family residence.
First due in was Northshore Fire’s Engine 57, with Shoreline Fire’s Engines 63 & 64, Ladder 61, Medic 63, MSO 6, B61 and Shoreline 132 & 133 on scene.
It took approximately 15 minutes to bring the blaze under control. No one was home at the time and there were no injuries reported.
Four residents that lived at the house had been relocated due to smoke, fire and water damage to the building’s interior. It was reported the probably cause was due to some furniture to close to a space heater.
The Seattle Fire Buff Society REHAB Support personnel, Support 4 (Lee Kane of Seattle) & 5 (Eric Swenson of Bellevue) also responded taking care of firefighters and EMS personnel on scene.

No estimate cost of damage was received.
