On Monday March 19th The OSFM Medal of Honor Committee presented the Medal of Valor to Captain Derek Perry of Galesburg Fire Department and member of Local 555. Derek is being deployed to Afghanistan and will be unable to attend the Medal of Honor Ceremony in May. The MOH Committee decided to present the award separately prior to his deployment. AFFI Vice President Emeritus Schrepfer is the AFFI’s retiree representative on the Committee.
