Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut has an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished Surgeon to join one of New England’s leading multi-specialty teaching hospitals. We are seeking a specialist that is BC in General Surgery and BC/BE in Surgical Critical Care. Special consideration will be given to candidates who have advanced training in Trauma or Acute Care Surgery.

Maximize your potential in this exciting role that will combine your advanced surgical experience and ability to excel in a fastpaced environment with your desire to advance clinical research and teach residents and medical students. The successful candidate will rotate through the Surgical Intensive Care Unit and Trauma Center. Additionally, this candidate will be eligible for a faculty appointment at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and be afforded opportunities to provide clinical research in your field. With 617-beds, Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center is one of the largest hospitals in Connecticut. This multi-specialty, tertiary care teaching hospital is affiliated with the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and its residency and fellowship programs. The campus features a newly built 10-story state-of-the-art building with a new operating rooms and an emergency department capable of receiving more than 73,000 patients each year. Designated as Level 2 Trauma Center, the trauma program at Saint Francis sees more than 2,100 patients and admits 1,500 patients annually. The 22-bed Medical/Surgical ICU admits more than 900 critically ill patients each year.
