Plan detailing Tacoma budget cuts delayed; cops, fire not in clear
First, it was March 6. Then it was by the end of the month. Now, Tacoma city officials say a plan detailing a second round of city budget cuts likely won’t be unveiled until mid-April. “The reason for the delay has been the ongoing conversations with labor (unions) and the explorations of other alternatives for closing the gap,” city spokesman Rob McNair-Huff said this week.
