The Food Safety and Inspection Service has issued an alert.

Ground and Tenderized Beef Products due to Possible E. Coli  0157:H7 Contamination.  Manufacturer:  Town and Country Foods, Inc. based in Greene, Maine.  Each case has a label that bears with the establishment number of “Est. 9710” inside the USDA Inspection mark of inspection.

The products were products between April 4 through 10, 2012 and shipped to establishments in Maine.  The problem was detected during lab testing at the company’s location.  For more information on this recall and others, contact the FSIS at www.fsis.usda.gov/FSIS_Recalls/Open_Federal_Cases/index.asp.

There have been no reported cases of illnesses.
