Bellevue’s Factoria Mall was the center of attention on Saturday, May 12th, hosting a Safety Fair featuring free helmets to the first 50 kids and others on sale. Kids’s helmets were personally fitted by Officers with the Bellevue Police Department.  Car Seats were also checked for safety.

Looks like a possible future firefighter or should we say, officer?

Throughout the center of the mall, safety booths lined the walkways with kids being able to check out some Fire and Local Law Enforcement’ tools of the trade.  Agencies collaborated by showing off their vehicles, such as Bellevue Fire’s Aid Unit, Mercer Island Police Department’s Marine Unit, Bellevue Police’s Sedgewick (People Mover), their Police Department’s Traffic Officer’s Motorcycle and a Patrol Car.  Bellevue also had their Inflatable Boat on site as well.
