The Tacoma Fire Battalion, a 501(c)(3) that provides REHAB Support to Tacoma’s Fire Department and some local Pierce County Fire Departments responded to Station #1 to make dinner for firefighters. The Headquarters houses Engine 1 and Ladder 1 with a crew of approximately 7.

Saturday, May 12th, a group of volunteers and firefighters converged on the station gathering together to enjoy a homemade meal prepared by the Fire Buffs. The meal of Chicken Caccatore, Spaghetti and Sauce, vegetable Salad with Raspberry Dressing, Italian Bread with Oil Dipping Sauce. For dessert, Apple, Peaches or Strawberry Rhubarb and Vanilla Ice Cream. It was enjoyed by all.
“This is one way we can help out with the City’s budget crisis.” says Cat Urbon, President of the Fire Battalion.

Firefighters were so accommodating to show us their fire apparatus by pulling both rigs out on the apron so we could take some photos. That was completely awesome and so nice of them! Thanks guys.
