TRAFFIC RESCUE: Early this afternoon, Bellevue Firefighter/Paramedics responded to a traffic rescue with Eastside Fire and Rescue resources near North Bend where a vehicle had flipped some 40 feet down an embankment with reported multiple victims trapped.

It turned out that only one victim was apparently present, but was significantly entrapped, requiring a complicated extrication. In all, Engine 271, Ladder 87, Medic 3, 14, Aid 281, MSO 5, and Battalion 71 responded. Medic 3’s Firefighter/Paramedics stabilized and transported the victim to Harborview Trauma Center in Seattle.
