Things are heating up in the bidding wars for Seattle Fire’s [former] Historic Fire Boat, The Alki. There appears to be a lot of interest being generated on this 1920’s era 123-foot 133 ton 8 with 16,200 gpm vessel.
Thirty-nine people have submitted their bids on this iconic Seattle treasure, with the highest bid at $55,100.00.
With a 10-day bidding window and on day three, there seems to be a general interest in this is historic commercial vessel. We’re hoping this part of Seattle Fire history will continue to remain here within our Community and open to the public one day.
If you wish to bid on The Alki, go to the auction house’s website, www.bidadoo.com. Type The Alki in the search box and the photograph of the boat and the bidding will appear on the screen.
Not interested in The Alki but looking for other equipment or fleet vehicles to purchase? Great selection on fleet vehicles and other types of equipment. A great site to visit. Who knows what you could walk away with?
We will be following this story and bring you all additional updates, as more details when they are received.
Have a story? We’d love to hear from you!
