0010Around 1300 Hours yesterday (Tuesday), we heard some chatter on the radio of a possible large scale evac from one of Monroe’s local hospitals, Valley General Hospital and had to go take a peek into what was going on.

AMBs ready to deploy

Thankfully, it appeared to be a quick call but it was fun to see 11 ambulances in all show up at the fairgrounds. Though the information was sketchy at best, it was still fun to take shots of fire apparatus on scene at the hospital campus.  (Photo by LR Swenson/First Alarm Images)

While, we never wish anything terrible to be happening in motion, we do love to be there for a good story and if nothing pans out, we do love to photograph fire apparatus and firefighters on scene.

Valley General Hospital

After arriving on scene fairly quickly from Paine Field, where we were on another photographic tour of the Boeing planes under construction – we found the call did not last long.

The line of ambulances once reaching a number of 11, were quickly dissipating into a group of seven.  Fire crews were going back into service as well.  There wasn’t much of a story that we were able to bring to you.  Catch us next time.

For now, hope you enjoy the photos of the fire apparatus Monroe Fire / Fire District #3 and Snohomish County Fire District #4 has in operation.
