Seattle firefighters were spotted “drilling” at their Joint Training Facility off of Myers Way last night between 1900 – 1930 hours.  The helicopter training during “night ops”, the first-ever conducted in the dark, was in conjuction with the King County Sheriff’s Office.

We observed them taking off from the center of the JTF with several firefighters on board, then lifting up, hovering over the training tower..  A firefighter was then lowered to several floors below then hoisted back up.  They would continue this procedure over and over again.

It was great watching them in action.

Though we don’t have many details regarding this training, we know that whatever happens in Seattle day or night, we know they are ready for anything 24/7.

Great job guys.  Keep up the good work!
