Hardening and re-contouring of ORV trail surfaces, creation and repair of water-bars and drip-drains, brushing, hauling and positioning gravel and blocks.

What to Bring
Bring gloves and clothing for work in the weather. Lunch is advisable as work can often be a significant distance from the road.

  Boggs Pit

  • From Loon Lake on U.S. Hwy 395, turn East onto Garden Spot Road.
  • Drive 7.3 miles and Garden Spot Road becomes N. Short Road.
  • Drive 0.2 miles on N. Short Road, then turn East onto W. Davis Road.
  • Drive 1.0 mile to Sherman Road.
  • Turn North onto Sherman Road.
  • Drive 1.3 miles.  Boggs Pit is on the East side of the road.

  Reiter Foothills

Meet at the gate on Deer Flats Mainline Road.
Directions: From Gold Bar, head east on State Highway 2. Turn left on Reiter Road just outside of Gold Bar. Go 1 mile and stay to the right at the ‘Y’ in the road. Continue on Reiter Road for another 3.1 miles. As you approach the 3.2 mile mark you will be turning left onto a DNR forest road (commonly known as Deer Flats Road). As you approach the turn, there will be a tree with two bright orange painted dots, an arrow painted on the road with a big “R,” and a DNR sign that says “Entering Reiter Foothills Forest.”
