This wildfire was discovered with a report of smoke in the area. It was started by lightning that passed over the area in the month of June and reported on July 23rd at 1730 hours PDT.
Location
It is located about three miles East of Whitewater Trailhead on Mount Jefferson.
Size Up
The fire has currently burned 5,515 acres of land and has a 0% containment status. There is active fire behavior with backing and group torching.

Command is currently located at the Hoodoo Ski Resort.
