It has been somewhat busy today for wildland firefighters but not as much as it was on Tuesday and especially in Grant County, Washington State!
Here is today’s wildfire report, as gleaned from wildcad.net and other verified fire sources.
EARL FIRE – Pend Oreille County
Fire resources AR63, AR7411, and AR7412 were dispatched late this afternoon to Earl Road at 1705 hours PT. About 0.1 acres of timber and understory were consumed. Status: Patrol status. ##
BROOKS FIRE – Spokane County
At 1531 hours today, fire assets were dispatched via the WA DNR NEC dispatch center to south Brooks Road for a grass fire. About 0.1 acres were burned. Status: Patrol status. ##
PIRATES FIRE – Spokane County
Update 2. Firefighters were able to contain Tuesday’s fire that broke out late last night at midnight and brought it under control on Wednesday at 0030 hours. The fire was located on Pirates Court. Status: Controlled. ##
ADRIAN ROAD FIRE – Grant County
WA DNR firefighters were dispatched on Tuesday evening (1801) for a wildfire on Adrian Road. Due to multiple wildfires and evacuations ongoing at the same time, this incident was one of many. The fire destroyed 988.3 acres of grass and brush. Status: Contained at 2000 hours. ##
ALADDIN HILL FIRE – Stevens County
WA DNR firefighters were dispatched to the Aladdin Road area at 1553 hours PT on Tuesday, June 28th. Today at 1200 hours, fire resources were able to contain the fire. Status: Controlled at 1602 hours PT. ##
SILVER DOLLAR FIRE – Benton County
Resources were dispatched to the Silver Dollar area where a wildfire was burning at 1728 hours this evening. 0.1 acre of grass burned. Status: Contained/controlled/out at 1830 hours PT. ##
