The WILLIAMS LAKE FIRE is located about 12 miles south of Cheney, Washington. It was caused by a human on August 3, 2022.
Active fire behavior is being reported along with long-range spotting, wind-driven runs, and flanking.
Many homes are under threat.
Evacuations and road closures are in effect.
Lead Agency is WA DNR.
Incident Cooperators include the following agencies and/or organizations:
VALLEY RFA — 3 members staffed on Brush 34.
NORTH COUNTY FIRE/EMS — 4 firefighters (FF Chamberlin, FF/PM Johnson, FF Garza and FF/PM Sacha).

SPOKANE COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT 8 FIREFIGHTERS LOCAL 3711
There is a total of 119 personnel assigned along with 27 engines. State mobe was approved for this fire.
Evacuations are in effect.
About 1,500 acres of timber and tall grass have been destroyed. There is a 0% containment status.
The cost-to-date has reached $250,000.
