The WAGNER ROAD FIRE is located 13 miles west of St. John, Washington State, which ignited on August 18th from an unknown cause that is under investigation.
The fire has burned approximately 7,381 acres of grass, stubble, and standing wheat. At this time, there is an 80% containment status and the expected containment date is scheduled for Monday, August 22, 2022.
There are NO evacuations in effect at the time of this post.
Resources include those from Whitman County fire districts, Lincoln County fire districts, Spokane County fire districts and the Bureau of Land Management responded with firefighters and equipment. Additionally, aircraft from the Washington State Department of Natural Resources were used in the firefighting effort.
There are approximately 126 total fire personnel assigned to this incident. The command is under the management of IC Shaun Soliday.
Resources will continue to reinforce the suppression line, begin mop up and some strategic firing operations
