Redding Firefighters were dispatched to a one-acre brush fire at the end of Dogwood in North Redding today.
It was quickly contained to the area. No more than one acre was burned.
Eight engines were dispatched to the call.
There is no word on the preliminary cause of the fire. It is currently under investigation.
Earlier in the day, firefighters were on the scene of a brush fire at Airpark and Sonoma.
That fire burned six acres and the forward progression was quickly stopped.
That fire too has no known cause and is under investigation.
