STEVENS COUNTY, WASHINGTON STATE (USA) — Stevens County Fire District 1 is a combination paid/volunteer Fire Department that serves residents and businesses alike in unincorporated communities of Clayton, Deer Lake, Ford, Loon Lake, Suncrest, Tum Tum, Williams Valley and the Town of Springdale, about 375 rural square miles.
They are located just northwest of the City of Spokane and about 90 miles south of the Canadian border.

On Saturday, the Fire District was busy with an abandoned trailer fire just off Hwy 231 in Ford, while other crews were taking care of a trauma patient in Stone Lodge and assisting Spokane FD 4 on a house fire off of Bridges Road.
As of November 18, 2022, the District has responded to 1,546 calls and serves approximately 22,001 residents.
If you are in the Stevens County area and would like to volunteer, Fire District 1 would love to have you join their ranks.
