Incident Summary

Firefighters were dispatched from the Big Lake and City Firefighters to a residential structure fire located on Little Mountain Road on Saturday even around 1750 hours PT.

This occurred in the City of Mount Vernon (Skagit County), Washington State.

Resources

Resources included those from the following Fire Departments:

Big Lake Fire Department:

  • Engine
  • Tender
  • Aid Unit
  • REHAB
  • Utility truck
  • 12 firefighters

City of Mount Vernon Fire Department:

  • 2 Engines (2 firefighters per unit)
  • Medic Unit
  • Battalion Chief
  • Seven (7) firefighters

Red Cross

The Red Cross was also deployed to the scene as the family who resides at this residence were displaced and are being assisted by this humanitarian agency.

Injuries

No injuries to civilians and/or firefighters were reported.

Cause

The cause is currently unknown at this time and is under investigation by the Skagit County Fire Marshal’s Office.
