June 6, 2023 – New Hires and Academy Graduations

Six recent academy graduates and five lateral hires started two weeks of training today in order to bring them up to speed on department operations and standards.

Union leaders spent several hours discussing the benefits of participation and the great work that has been done on behalf of all workers. All candidates opted-in to participate in the union, keeping us at 100% involvement.

June 3, 2023 – Firefighter Mitchell Retires After Successful Fire Service Career

After 37 years of service, Firefighter Wayne Mitchell retires. An appreciation and retirement ceremony is held in his honor.

On the same day, Firefighters collect $6,400 in donations for the Fill-The-Boot campaign for the MDA.
