About the City of Bellevue Fire Department
The City of Bellevue Fire Department has nine busy fire stations with a tenth one slated to be built in the very near future. This is where we used to live and moving from one year ago. We are kind of fond of them and have met some amazing people along the way.
They were formerly King County Fire Protection District 14 which was formed in 1942, prior to the City’s incorporation but continued to provide service and a community service partner. In 1965, a professional department with full-time firefighters was created in response to a number of devastating fires that almost cost the life of four volunteer firefighters.
