Current Status

Size Up: Due to more accurate mapping, the fire’s size has been reduced from 2,944 acres with a 15% containment status released this morning at 0828 hours PT down to 2,700 acres with a 50% containment status this afternoon at 1633 hours PT.

Fire Operations

Fire Operations: Fire Operations will continue for the next three days around the clock.

Cause: This cause is still unknown but it is under investigation.

Staffing

Incident Cooperators: Ventura County Fire Department (personnel and PIO), Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, Ventura County Office of Emergency Services, Santa County Fire Department, CAL FIRE/San Luis Obispo Fire Department, the Unified Water Conservation District (water source for aircraft/Saticoy recharge basins), Congresswoman Julia Brownley and the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
