Published Saturday, June 8, 2024, 2045 hours PDT

Police and fire units were dispatched on Saturday evening to a salvage yard fire in the 900 block of SE 21st Street in Des Moines, Iowa.

Before arriving, firefighters could see a massive heavy black smoke column upon reaching the scene.

It was reported that the fire had taken multiple cars inside the salvage yard.

Fire Officials report no injuries to civilians or firefighters and there were no occupied structures on the property.

There was no word on what caused the fire at the time of this post, however, there have been some spectacular images obtained by the Des Moines Fire Department. (Photo Credit)
