WA DNR resources E 632, E 631, and AR 7411 were dispatched at 1207 hours to the Calispel Creek Road in Usk (Pend Oreille), Washington.

Resources were on the scene at 1308 and had the fire 25% hand-lined at the time of this post.

Less than one acre has been burned (0.42).

This is the second wildfire to have started in this area, with the first one on June 28, 2023. This fire was known as the Middle Creek Fire.

ABOUT CALISPELL CREEK ROAD

This roadway is near the hamlet of Cusick in the northeastern portion of (Pend Oreille County) Washington State and leads to Kalispell Peak which is at about 6,855 feet in elevation. It ranks as #9 on the list of 18 summits in our State.
