Leeds Creek Fire

The LEEDS CREEK FIRE started on August 1, 2024, at 1047 hours, by U.S. Forest Service employees who spotted smoke from Union Passand is located 16 miles southwest of Dubois, Wyoming.

The fire started from an undetermined cause, which is under investigation.
It is under the management of B. Nate, an ICT3, and W. Laster, an ICT3 Trainee.
About 845 acres of heavy logging slash and timber have been burned. There is a 13% containment status and is expected to be contained by November 1, 2024.
The fire behavior is creeping, smoldering, and isolated torching. There has been minimal fire growth.
Smoke can be seen from the Continental Divide Trail, Dubois and Pinedale.
