On Thursday, February 6th of last week around 1844 hours PT, Oregon State Police were dispatched and arrived on the scene of an MVA (two cars) on I-5 near milepost 288 in Washington County, Oregon.

Police state their preliminary investigation deemed a gray Toyota Tundra picked was traveling southbound on I-5 when it rear-ended a white Peterbilt semi-truck and trailer.

The driver of the Toyota pickup was transported to an area hospital in serious condition and later succumbed to his injuries and died at the hospital.

The driver of the semi-truck was uninjured and was cooperating fully with Law Enforcement.

The roadway was impacted for approximately three hours, while Police were investigating the accident. The reason why the driver of the car hit the truck is unknown. No other persons were said to be injured.

Incident Cooperators included the Oregon State Police, the Tualatin Police Department, and the Oregon Department of Transportation.
