At the last time of a CAL FIRE presser, they released this statement:

Fire crews quickly stopped the forward progress of the fire that started in grass but has made its way into heavy brush and timber located at the end of Pony Brown Road in Sloughhouse. Due to the dense fuel load, it may take awhile to reach full containment. Crews will be working throughout the evening to maintain control of the fire.”

Cause of the fire is unknown and under investigation.

The CAL FIRE / Amador El Dorado Unit is currently working to put this fire out.
