Around 1am this morning, 16-year Veteran WSP Trooper Tony Radulescu was shot and fatally wounded while on a routine traffic stop in Gorst. He was a devoted Community Leader, Officer and good friend to many where he was stationed out of the Bremerton office. A great Communicator possessing the ability to speak 5 languages and acting as an asset in many theft rings with Eastern Europe ties will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
The suspect, 28-year old Joshual Jeral Blake was tracked to a home 20 miles away from the scene by SWAT officers where they heard a single gunshot. He was found shot to death from a self inflicted wound. Blake had a violent history and was known to Law Enforcement.
A growing memorial by the roadside for Trooper Radulescu have been reported. Many of his family live out-of-state so it is being deferred to them for their wishes on a Funeral Service. We will keep you all updated if we hear of a Memorial planned for him.
We offer our sincere sympathy, comfort and support as you all grieve your loss. We Will Never Forget – Our Hero.
