(PETERBOROUGH) Chris Snetsinger has been hired as the new deputy fire chief, replacing Ron Sparks who will retire at the end of the month.
As well, platoon chiefs David James and Larry Russell retired at the end of July.
Mr. Snetsinger has been with the City since 1995 and became chief training officer with the department in 2009.
He served as acting deputy fire chief while Ron Sparks moved up to acting chief after former chief Trent Gervais resigned to go work in Napanee earlier this year.
Since then, Doug Tennant has been hired as the new chief.
