On March 8, Snohomish Fire helds its 39th Annual Awards Banquet at Lord Hill Farms in Snohomish. The evening began with a performance by the Snohomish County Firefighters Pipes & Drums. The event was not only to honor members for their years of service, but also for the retirement of Fire Chief Mark Collins whose last day at the Department was January 2, 2013.

Years of service awards went to:

Thirty-Five Years – Battalion Chief (soon to be Deputy Chief) Mike Gatterman

Twenty Years – Lieutenant Gary Jessop, Firefighter Marcus McGee, Lieutenant Marybeth O’Leary, and Executive Assistant Sharon Wilson

Fifteen Years – Firefighter Anthony Christoffersen, and Lieutenant Bert Wolfe

Ten Years – Firefighter/Paramedic Torie McCormick

Five Years – Firefighter/Paramedic Dave Alberts, Firefighter/Paramedic Neil Broumley, Firefighter Chris Burnette, Chaplain Glen Davenport, Firefighter Dani DeVos, Firefighter Adam Gleason, Firefighter Brad Ives, Firefighter Karl Jacobsen, Firefighter Amy Johnson, Firefighter Garrett Lane, Chaplain Howard Lewis, Firefighter Brian Raby, Firefighter Greg Rockenstire, and Chaplain Jim Tunnell.

Two Years – Chaplain Margie Jacobson, and Firefighter Evan Merritt.

The Department membership voted and chose annual awards for: EMS Provider of the Year – FF/PM Neil Broumley, Officer of the Year – Lt. Brian Zehe, and Firefighter of the Year – FF Kirk Nordlund.
