19+ tons of Barbacoa and Chorizo Recalled in Texas

Hausman Foods, LLC. of Corpus Christi, Texas is recalling approximately 38,400 pounds of beef and pork barbacoa and chorizo products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens. The barbacoa and chorizo contain peanuts an allergen which is not declared on the product labels.

They products were produced on various dates from September 17 to December 6, 2014. The Fully Cooked Barbacoa is packaged in 800 lb combo corrugate boxes. The Pork Chorizo is packaged in 15 lb boxes containing six 2.5 lb vacuum sealed packages.

The products bear establishment number “EST. 7190” or “EST. 7190A” inside the USDA mark of inspection and were shipped to processing and food service establishments in Texas.

The problem was discovered when a recall for Adams Flavors, Food & Ingredients cumin products was released.
