Anderson, SC | Homelite Consumer Products Inc, the importer of Homelite’s 12-amp Electric Blower Vacuums model numbers UT42120, UT42120A and UT42121 has issued a recall for the listed consumer products.
Over 800k products are being recalled inside the U.S. and over 40k in Canada are involved in the recall due. These products were manufactured by Chinese companies Changzhou Globe Tools Ltd and Cixi City Best Power Tools Ltd of China.
The company has received 1,369 reports of the vacuum sparking, arcing, smoking or burning. One minor injury has occurred.
The vacuums sold for $40.00 each were sold between January 2010 through March 2015, at Home Depot and Direct Tools Factory Outlet Stores.
