A new wildfire has ignited in Washington State and the Fire Season refuses to be put out….
Rock Creek Fire
Incident Summary
A wildfire broke out on the afternoon of September 10th on Hwy 410 near Rock Creek Road. A Level 1 Fire Advisory (Evacuation Warning) along Rock Creek to Cliffdell was issued around 2000 hours.
The wildfire could be seen last night from Ellensburg, Washington, approximately 36 miles from Yakima.

Forest Service Assets
Of concern yesterday were the Forest Service Roads 1703, 1704 and 1705. No word today on the status of those assets.
Fire Advisory Elevated
At 0800 hours, Yakima County OEM stated the fire has reached 600 acres and issued a Level 2 Fire Advisory.
Resources
Forest Service helicopters were dropping water on the fire just before dusk.
