Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests, Arizona
UPDATE 1 – APRIL 5, 2017
The Fisher Fire started on April 3rd around 1545 Hours from an unknown cause that is under investigation.
The fire is located 15 miles West of Heber on the Black Mesa Ranger District of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests in Coconino County. Additionally, the fire is located ¾ of a mile South of Chevelon Canyon Lake in Chevelon Canyon in Arizona.
There are currently three personnel assigned to this fire that is now creeping and smoldering. Fire behavior is minimal.
100 acres of Juniper, Timber with a grass understory.
Fire personnel are monitoring the fire from the top of Chevelon Canyon and not engaging in direct fire suppression due to the steepness of the terrain and safety of firefighters.
Resources include 1 Type 6 Engine.
Fire Managers will continue to monitor operations.
