Incident Summary | An unknown cause ignited a wildfire on Monday July 03rd, 2017 around 1630 hours. The wildfire named “July Fire” is located on the SW edge of Zortman and North of Landusky, Montana.    The cause is currently unknown and under investigation.

Size | There has been 10,622 acres of timber and short grass consumed.  A 50% containment status has been reached.

Resources | There are 436 personnel along with 11 crews, 25 engines and 5 helicopters.

Current Conditions | Active fire behavior with backing, group torching and spotting.  Much of today’s weather has been hot and with increased winds.

Damage Assessment | There have been 5 structures that have been lost.  Structures are still under direct threat at the time of this post.

Cost-to-Date |  Fire suppression and containment costs have reached up to a whopping $2.5 Million.
