Fire History – Wenas Area
Fires have broken out in the Wenas area, an unincorporated in Yakima County, about 8.7 miles WSW of Nile; 10.4 miles SSE of Naches and 13.7 miles NE of Ellensburg, Washington State.
Fires that have burned in this area have occurred on 6/30/2017 (2846 ac); 1/2017 (RVs destroyed in a RV park); 6/2016 (Wenas Valley); 2/2016 (Naches-Wenas Grade); 6/18/2014 (10,000 acres N of Selah); 9/2/2012 (Wenas Lake); 8/2012 (N Wenas) and 8/2011 (S Wenas Rd).
