COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA — A small wildfire is burning off of Sanders Boulevard on the Caloosahatchee Forestry’s area, which prompted resources and assets to be deployed on Sunday, May 30th at 1309 hours PT.
The initial size up was reported as 10-15 acres. Two Florida Forestry Services dozers arrived on-scene with Collier County Sheriff’s Air Rescue 1 enroute. (1309 PT)
Around 1415 hours PT, the fire has grown to about 20 acres but is 60% contained. Two dozers are working the fire along with two more on-scene. The County’s helicopter is also working the fire.
Incident Cooperators include: FFS Caloosahatchee, FL Forest Service and Collier County Sheriff.
